@JohnKiller118 Konami are good at making references to lots of game releases in other games , it like a form of advertising , where one game refferences another , like how in metal gear 3 their is the capture the ape's reference to ape escape , they even do that kind of thing for future releases , a lot of game productions and pulishers did that back then and konami and few others still do ,

@jmm1233 But Metal Gear wasn't nearly as popular as it was now, especially in the west. I'm just talking about how people that heard of/played Snatcher first would find something fishy about this (then) new game called "Metal Gear Solid."

@JohnKiller118 Metal Gear The very very first one was already released back in 1987 for the msx2 system and then snatcher came out on the same system in 1988 , so basically they got both games roughly the same time , konami are genius , every generation has from the 80's and 90's has a metal gear and snatcher to look back on , i used to have a copy of the nes version of metal gear shame i never kept it

@jmm1233 But that's not what I'm saying. Metal Gear wasn't popular until 1998, with the release of "Metal Gear Solid" for the Playstation. Snatcher for the Sega-CD was released before then.

So my question is, how many people that played this game when it first came out, thought "wat" when they heard about "Metal Gear Solid" years later.

I wonder how many people who played this game and saw Metal Gear Mk.II when it first came out found something funny about this new game called "Metal Gear Solid."... and I wonder how many creamed nostalgia when they saw Mk.II again in MGS4.
