  • @JusticeVSpropaganda Israel is not a country u'll c that soon

  • horner has a very limited range.

  • I think they are all great composers, the Beethoven and Mozarts of our times, Hans Zimmer (Crimson Tide), Alan Silvestri (The Abyss), John Williams (Starwars), Basil Poledouris (Red October), James Horner (Titanic), John Barry (King Kong 1976), Ennio Morricone (The mission), and many others.

  • In my personally opinion, James Horner is the best film composer! I totally agree with the Main Theme from "Beautiful Mind" That song gives me a musicgasm every time I hear it! I see a bunch of comments about Hans Zimmer being better than Horner, but I find his stuff to be pretty much all the same. His current stuff I cannot stand, it sounds all the same. I used to like Zimmer, but I just can't connect to his scores in the same way I connect to Horner's scores.

  • @HandsSolo this copy and paster disrespects film music - greatest ever is John williams, Goldsmith is another king, Morricone, Silvestri is brilliantly talented, so is Elfman. Zimmer and horner have great ears for music. Everyone plagarises (maybe not goldsmith/silvestri/Morricone) but only horner copy's and pastes. But he can produce BRILLIANT music, and is well trained.

  • Lemme Correct my List, He stands firm with Goldsmith, Morricone, Jarre, Shore, Zimmer, North, Korngold, Herrman, but no one touches Williams....

  • James Horner is the Second Greatest next to Williams.....

  • @bassfisherman04 we have the same tastes in music (film scores at least)

  • @AliWood444 All great composers. All are flawed in some way. Horner recycles his stuff, Elfman is too theme centric, and hans zimmer well we'll say he has no noticable flaws, anyways... John Williams is the best composer alive...period. James Newton Howard is the best current composer. And i would probably include hans zimmer in my list of three. (btw, i would say Ennio Morricone was a great melody composer, but did not have the range). Look out for Michael Giacchino and Alexandre Desplat.
