WOW, thanks for posting this important information. The band really did have a political consciousness and awareness of social issues. The music is great but also the ideas are brilliant. They knew they were working class guys and still went for it , changing the world. Watt says it very clearly , taking things in their own hands. It should make younger listeners wake up to the idea that music and social justice issues start right at the personal level.
By refusing to conform to non-conformity (creating music with a wide range of influences, instead of merely adopting the so-called "punk" music and fashion style like so many other bands at the time), the Minutemen created truly timeless music. More punk than "punk". Thank you for posting this, great documentary.
