@fabjonjon they probably didn't last because they were built and tuned by an inferior engine builder. if you service regularly and use components built for the power you are aiming for and change timing/balance shaft belts with Heavy duty items every 30,000ks then you shouldn't have any trouble.

@gmanEVO Hands on experience? I have built a few and the blocks are ok but as far as the top end and timing goes I will keep my mouth shut and thank god I dont own one. Seems like they always have problems sooner than later.
