Sega Ages 2500 Vol. #32 - Phantasy Star Collection - PS2

Recently released on PS2(JPN Import), this game contains:

Phantasy Star 1 (Master System/SG-1000)
Phantasy Star 2 (Mega Drive/Genesis)
Phantasy Star 3 (Mega Drive/Genesis)
Phantasy Star 4 (Mega Drive/Genesis)
Phantasy Star Gaiden (Game Gear)
Phantasy Star Text Adventure (GG?)
Phantasy Star Text Adventure 2 (GG?)

Phantasy Star 1-4 can be played in English and Japanese while PS Gaiden and Text Adventures 1&2 are Japanese only.

Gameplay shows artwork from PS1 along with a couple cutscenes. PS4 also shown.

The Characters move faster than usual because it's a special setting (Boost 2/4). This is something I wish the original games had (to pick up the pace).

You could also play this on a modified PS2, but I can't tell you any more than that.

This game would be perfect to import because the 4 main Phantasy Star games can be played in english. I heard the US PS3 console can play Japanese PS3 software, but I also wonder if you can play Japanese PS2 games on the US PS3 console. If it works, Phantasy Star Collection would be a great buy for the PS3.

JPN Ps2 games don't work on US/European Ps3s. Tested this myself.

At the end of the game, Chaz is so strong no one beats him. With double daggers then, it's amazing.

there's an option to play all of them (but the text adventures) in English.

*sigh* Why didn't they include english texts in the 3D remakes? They wouldn't need to re-record the japanese voices, understandable texts would suffice

If i get to do my version of the Phantasy Star II text adventures, Man, a character from Kain's Adventure would be given the moniker of "The Man"
