I remeber this song was released when I was a teenager. I was being badly bullied at school at the time and every time I heard this song, t made me cry. Even if it has unhappy links in my memory, I still love the beauty of the song.

I love this song and video. Always one of my favorites. But it was such a shock to have her come out with this song in early 1992, this tender, introspective, even mainstream song (it was the theme song for a movie about baseball!); and then in late 1992 she put out the "Sex" book. In those years, she was always so hard to read. Always such a complex mixed bag.
