@KuriballFTW6 I agree. However, my point is that his intentions were not entirely wrong. Towards the end though, he became way too obsessed and that took away his focus and moralities. The way i see it, Light wasnt a bad person. The power of the death note made him a bad person, since absolute power corrupts absolutely. so Light basically became a victim of his own beliefs, especially at the end. in my eyes he wasnt a "monster". and most ppl probably hate him so much because of L's death

@TwiStedAngelNL In the end, it doesn't matter. Even if you don't label yourself God, taking actions like that would put you in a similar position to a "God." Even if it's for the good of the people, when one thinks about it, uniting all humans and eliminating all corruption, essentially fixing our world; All of it requires evil. To work good, you have to become evil. And in doing so, you'll deserve to die for all that you have done. And if the time comes you are no longer needed, you must die.

@KuriballFTW6 If I had that Death Note, I would probably do what he did.. kill off criminals who didnt get convicted and got away with their crimes. Political leaders who discriminate against their own people, dictators, etc. Its not right though to pass judgement on people like that and label yourself as the new God of a new earth. But i guess it was easy on him since he didnt believe in God himself.

This made me cry :*(

L is my favorite character in Death Note. I adore L for being so awesome. I adore Light too, in fact, when he died..I cried and feel so bad for him..

L's death wasn't peaceful. And he didn't deserve one. L gave me the creeps and was no different than Light, he was just a massive hypocrite.

RIP Light. I rooted for him until the end (though I knew he would die) and always will.

it makes me feel so saad :( I understand that he had to die ,but also it is terrible that one with so pure heart at first ended up evil...and all just because he saw no other way of saving the mankind...
Yagami, Raito is a monster, and deserved to die. Sure, his ideal was right. Corruption is here, and the only solution is for the rotten people to die off. But that won't solve all of the world's problems, and it's a task one man can never accomplish, without he himself becoming twisted. In the end, Raito was a bigger devil then the one that first gave him the notebook.
