Reciprocating piston engines are 37% efficient at "best". Average in a vehicle 20%. So, 75% of the energy in the tank is wasted. That says it all.
In the MYT engine, all the main parts move only one way. A "great" improvement.
The Chevy Volt was to have 100cc engine in a genny set. The car moves by electric motors only. Lotus have developed a two speed genny set engine for series hybrid.
The rotary type engines are the way. They have to be well tested and cheap to make

my thoughts exactly charles...there will have to be either a different design, or very expensive materials involved.
good design, but if you cant cool it down it turns into a claymore mine. a really really big one.

most likley electricty will end up using more fossil fuels to create it. to build the power plant and to store. them der big ol batteries get old and need changing to. getting rid of batteries is not environmental friendly at all. no matter what as of now, we will depend on oil. no way around it.

lean burn is hotter

wow that blew my mind. i had no idea my r6 runs at 26,000 rpms. unbelievable. dang, you gotta be the dumbest. your a joke. do you even know what rpm means?

I think the orbital crankshaft gears are too small. You need to add two more orbital crankshafts (turning at half speed) in order to double the size of all orbital crankshaft gears.

OH YEAH THIS IS THE MEXICAN WANKEL

i hate graphics.... you fake man...

i was confused about this engine until i saw this kaleidoscope. now im just dazed.

Electric motors power/weight ratio is vastly superior an IC engine. A MYT series hybrid is the way.
Update: I'm not an engineer. A real engineer would have the ports on the housing lined up properly by now. I've abandoned combustion in favor of compressed air, steam, etc.
I wish Angel Labs the best of luck. They're going to need it.

Update on my model:
I've found that reducing the offset of the crank pins from the full planet gear radius to 3/4 the radius removes the retrogade motion of the vanes.

The engine doesn't work, plain and simple. This is a case of an inventor coming into an already crowed field (Bullington rotaries), and making claims that the technology can't begin to live up to. This "engine" can't even handle combustion due to the impossibility of sealing and lubricating a combustion chamber with 4 parting lines, of which 3 move relative to each other. Many other problems as well, with the worst being excessive heat retention.

Thank you for pointing me to the name "Bullington", which I hadn't seen before. There is a patent (1568053, filed 1926) that almost exactly matches this mechanism.
From the model I have made, I can see numerous problems with the design as an ICE. If I hadn't made the model, I wouldn't have found those problems.
