@666husar irish folk ???? didnt you listen to the introduction ? fair enough it wasnt exactly your cup of tea but this air is about a battle , maybe just not one you support :)
well thats fuckin great, wanted to find some of the medieval Husars battle songs and im getting some irish folk...fucking love the internet, you can relay on it - it will never get you where you wanted to be
On TV back in the sixties I saw Tony do an incredible take on "Anac Cuain". Does anyone know if this can be got on record. I can only get one Shanachie album of his but it's not on it. It does have a deadly "Hussar" but I pine to hear "Anac Cuain" !! Pine , I say.
tinwhistler·com (a site focused on pennywhistles) has a great list of irish/celtic tunes, including the wounded hussar and the musical priest. Another good site is the session·org. However, like most irish music, the version Mr. MacMahon is playing is not exactly the same.
The musical priest...their sounds fits eachother very well..
They could have filled reccords full with this wonderfull music, the two of them, hahah!
Excellent combination,Tony and Barney...

The Musical Priest is correct. Great tune. It's a wonder MacMahon can stay on his seat when he comes back in...
