It is truly amazing that just one man can create such stunning, often beautiful soundscapes. His music is immediately recognisable by its unique blend of electronic and acoustic instrumentation, skilfully woven into an ensemble remarkable at some times for bold dynamics and striking modulations, at others for the most beguiling subtlety and restraint. Vangelis really is a genius, and his music will live forever.
