  • Is it wrong if I play this the way you showed it, without the capo ?

  • @TKJOfficial Not at all. It will just be in a different key. But do what feels comfortable to you. Also, I got a note from another Tuber about Paul playing it in C in his Broadstreet movie. If you tune your guitar down a half tone you can play starting on C. I might redo this song with the different chords. Thanks and good luck.

  • Ive read somewhere (Mark Lewisohn ?) they fooled around a lot with recording speed at the time - might be the case. Agree with you - to play in C feels right :) one more thing - In James Paul McCartney show - Michelle- you can see that second chord you dont want to use. Sorry :)

  • @msima05 Yeah, I have various studio takes of various songs and several songs are played a half tone lower or so and then sped up on the final mix to make them sound brighter/punchier. As for Michelle, I don't know what you mean. I'm playing the same second chord, an F7add9 (with capo of course) 131244. I just cant bar it so I do a minor alteration XX3244 which is the same. Most others do an Fm7. Sorry:)

  • Hi, for some reason I cant create a video response for you. Anyway there is this vid on youtube by myckiisstarr - paul mccartney for no one solo acoustic performance. You can see all the chords :)

  • @msima05 That video is from the Broadstreet movie. Yes, there he is playing it in C. However, it is still in B on Revolver. Mmm, but you've given me an idea. I'll tune my guitar down a half step and play it using C position. I think I will redo the video lesson. It makes more sense and is easier to play tuned down in C position than

the way I did it. Thanks a mil for your note. Cheers.

Thanks and glad you enjoy the lessons. On the album it is in B, check it out. (Unless he played it in C and they

slowed the tape a half tone). If so, how do you know that? Do you have some studio takes, or did you see it played that way on his recent concert tours?

  • Thank you for the lessons :) Paul plays it in C

  • @jeremyoh87

Mmmm interesting...the progression is quite similar. If you listen to the ending of She's Electric, it's an almost exact copy of the descending ending in With A Little Help From My Friends. Thanks for the post and Cheers.

  • You're welcome and glad you enjoyed. Cheers.
