Every drummer has his own style of playing. It's not fair to "compare' . Bonham, in my opinion, was the best hard rock drummer of all time. Ringo was the best "fit" for the Beatles. Lennon and McCartney did not want a "great" or "good looking" drummer. That's why they got rid of Pete Best. Lennon and McCartney wanted the focus of The Beatles to be on them, not the drummer and not Harrison. Both drummers and their bands have given us a lifetime of the greatest rock music in history.

Rest in Peace Bonzo.... I plan on taking a trip to England soon to see some of the historical places for bands like Zeppelin and The Beatles.

Play any music you like....he liked a lot of different kinds of music.....BTW....he bought me a beer in NYC 1968....in a place called Nobody's on Bleeker St.

I live just over 1 mile from there and i visit about 2 times a year to go see his grave

Moby Dick was actually a bunch of his fills and Jimmy Page arranged them, put'em together and created Moby Dick, just read a biography on Bonham, everyone interviewed said he hit the skins harder than anyone in his time, R.I.P. John!
