I rescued my Weimeriner "Bella" when she was two. I have had her nine years now and she came to me with some anxiety issues and skin problems. I love this bread of dog so much! Not only for their beauty and grace, but for the loyalty and companionship she has given me thru the years. I can walk with her by my side without a leash and she never runs away... She always stay within a 10 foot radius. "Bella" is now 11 and having some neurological issues and has trouble standing. It's almost like s

@ripjohnnyc They're very smart, active, and need a lot of attention.
They're very interested in YOUR STUFF, doing what YOU'RE DOING; they think they're people with extra rights.
B/c of their intelligence they can be a tough breed unless you don't work.
You're right though, they are very special, but 'high maintenance' and worth every minute if you need a companion or hunting dog; they're great at casting and therefore don't run off.

why do these dogs need advocacy groups, i thought they were just for perfect rich white people families. serious question, cuz to me its like adoption group for Ferraris. no offence meant.

Congrats on great the work. All dogs deserve a loving caring home. Personally I have Dobies but love the Wiems as well.Never met a truly "bad" dog only ones that had been brought up by bad or misguided owners. The only bad part of dog ownership I've found is losing a part of your heart when they have to leave you.And it never gets easier. Wishing you many more success stories and forever homes.

great video....i live in Argentina, in a very small city, and fell in love with this dog, and i am trying very hard to get one, cause they are not very easy to get where i live.....watching these poor animals suffer makes me really angry with the people responsible, but on the other hand, it's conforting to know there's people like you fighting for those who can't speak....thanks for what you do.

I also rescued a Weimaraner from a hunter. He wanted to kill her just because she had been hit by a car and limped from one leg. The vet told me and asked if i wanted her and although my mother said she didn’t want another dog i brought her home and now everyone loves her so much :D and she is beautiful and really kind.

I'm a weim owner. Thank you for doing what you've done for weims.
I work with Yankee Weimaraner Rescue. I have fostered rescue dogs and helped to screen both rescue dogs & potential
homes. It is SO important that rescues are place in "forever" homes so they don't
wind up back in rescue due to poor place-
ment. You do the work of angels..... keep
up the good work!!! Their stories are often
sad, but hopefully the happy endings are
worth the tears and heartache!! Every dog
we place in a happy home is worth it all!!!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!! : )

Great video have had a weim in our family ever since I was two. I adopted a 6 month old weim from a rescue after my 8 year old died of cancer. He does have some issues but he is a great dog and after 2 years I am glad I did. Keep up the great work!

Yes, the rescues can definitely have issues. But I agree - they are worth it! Gil the No Longer Foster Dog has enriched our lives so much! He's a great dog even if he did eat a hole in the sheetrock in the laundry room! Thanks for your comment!
