Push Your Design

Push Your Design is a Collaborative project hosted by the University of Alberta Visual Communications Department. It is featured at Enterprise Square in Edmonton Alberta and shall be evolving over the next 2 weeks. The concept behind the experimental project is to explore design, and what it is, and how the process of design results in an end. By working in the public view we hope to show what design is really like, and the thought and care that goes into all forms of visual communication.

Hi, thanks for your question. As students we're not really sure about a ranking for our department, in fact we're not sure if we would even be put into the ranking of different design schools since we are part of a university. However as students we can tell you that this is one of the better programs out there. We work with many very talented designers and are provided with many different design opportunities. cont.

the program is also expanding to include more trips, conferences, and experimental design practices such as the PUSH project we recently finished. THe program is focusing on getting students out into the world and working in a very real design atmosphere and is also very open to imput from the students on what sort of things they want to do with the program. We've been participating in many different focus group discussion groups centered around revamping the program to make it even better!
