@givepropstotherich Do you have a clue what you are talking about? You sound like the same average person who thinks they seem to know everything about the airlines but can't tell the difference between a 737 and a 747.

@istvanklein Obviously, at the time 747 came out, it was THE Jumbo Jet. We got so use to the size of the 747 that now when the a380 came out, even though Massive, its like you said, not going to be an icon... but it has revolutionised the airline industry. I can't see Boeing challenging the A380 and with a whole new design. The only thing they came up with was a modern 747. their excuse " 747 was great lets make it better". Airbus? the A340 has been amazing, lets make something BIG and NEW.

Blimey, it IS possible to sneak into Business Class, while a bloke is in WC, sit in his seat...and, and Bob's Your Uncle...ya bloody well woof-down his meal!

why do ppl act so stupid in business and first class when they get upgraded? u can always tell them apart from the ppl who fly it all the time.

@JayG83 I beg to differ. I have flown with them many times and they always provided excellent service, even on economy, and the flights were always on time.

@swampwatch I prefer Boeing too. But here in Europe airlines tend to prefer Airbus.

@istvanklein I can see why, it's all about pride. Plus, if they got their own manufacturer there why should they buy Boeing.

I'm European but for me Boeing is still the real thing, creating such aviation icons as the 747. The 747 may be an ageing bird but the A380 will never gain such an iconic status.
