Jack attempts three violin performances only to be out performed by a twelve year old girl from the audience. Julie London sings two songs and acts as though she is enamored with Jack while Jack hams it up to the audience's delight.

Thanks for watching.
Well, 'hwy', the promo was filmed during production of the episode, in advance of the original air date, and I believe CBS aired it a few times during the week before it aired. In those days, believe it or not, promos weren't seen that often to "annoy" the viewer, as they do now.

Here's to the old days!

Anytime, 'hwy'; Jack and Julie also filmed a brief promo which aired on CBS the day the episode originally aired (see "Jack Benny Promo").

Thanks, I just watched it. Did it only air that day? Promos start so far in advance these days I get tired of seeing them.

Originally telecast on March 4, 1962; the opening title here is actually from a 1956 episode (the original title featured a close-up of Jack's face in the Rene Bouche portrait, with part of a musical fanfare [Don Wilson: "From Hollywood..."], widening to reveal the entire portrait, the show's title and the rest of Mahlon Merrick's fanfare [Wilson: "...'THE JACK BENNY PROGRAM'...with Jack's special guest star, Julie London....{brought to you by...Lipton Tea...'The 'BRISK' Tea'}"].

Thanks Barry. I thought Julie London was great in this episode.
