  • Castle Films was one of the largest producers of "home movie" entertainment for 16mm home projectors {silent 8mm versions were also issued} from the '30s through the '70s. In addition to excerpts from Hollywood movies, cartoons, sports reels and travelogues, they also produced "News Parades", which highlighted major news events [as well as an annual reel looking back at the previous year, which was produced from 1938 through 1975]. This is an excellent example of one issued during World War II.
