Castle Films News Parade 1943 Fight for Egypt The invasion of North Africa was a prelude to the invasion of Europe. The Allies advance. They free cities and towns from the Nazis. They are welcomed joyously.
Castle Films was one of the largest producers of "home movie" entertainment for 16mm home projectors {silent 8mm versions were also issued} from the '30s through the '70s. In addition to excerpts from Hollywood movies, cartoons, sports reels and travelogues, they also produced "News Parades", which highlighted major news events [as well as an annual reel looking back at the previous year, which was produced from 1938 through 1975]. This is an excellent example of one issued during World War II.
