Here's a musical Valentine from Allison Crowe.

The song, written by Ronnie Shannon, was a break-through hit for Aretha Franklin in 1967.

This recording from Allison is without big (really, without any) production. Instead, one afternoon, she sat down at the piano in a friend's log-home on Salt Spring Island, BC, Canada to sing and play. As with most of Crowe's recordings this is a single, first, take. Her natural performance, captured on a laptop, resonates with the song's lyrics and emotions.

Hello all the young lady did a jam up job on the song,Ronnie Shannon would have loved it you see he is no longer with us he passed away 2/9/09 in his home town Atlanta Georgia.. He and I were good friends..I recorded a number of his songs the name is LaJay Alexander the recorder of ("SAYSO")...
