Beaumont Rag - Bourgeois Vintage D

Again, but this time with some friends ;) Backing track is from Unit of Measure from Tony Rice: http://tonyrice.com/

The guitar is my Bourgeois Vintage D, amazing for flatpickin. Recorded with a DPA 4099 mic (great sound for poor sounding rooms like mine) to a TC Electronics interface. Put together with Tony Rice track in GarageBand. Some compression and EQ in guitar track.

Excellent picking! You've got it going and the room isn't too bad even if you think so. I was just thinking what good sound my computer has so it must be your room that's good. I love that sone since I was born in Beaumont............well ok, 67 years ago. LOL Thanks for the treat.

In a bad sounding room do you think the DPA 4099 is a better alternative to a good small diaphragm condenser like a KM184 or similar mic? Does the 4099 sound boomy on a dreadnaught without any eq?
