  • Ron: Great to see your stuff on YouTube!

Get in touch with Chris Brown from Smart Football (Google it) -- he'd like to feature your stuff in his excellent (and widely-read) blog.

  • Hi Ted -- Anyone is free to use any of my stuff anytime they want. I just checked out Chris Brown's site and it's excellent. Its like grad school for football.

  • This is absolutely fascinating. Thankyou for uploading.

  • Ron, I tried to get ahold of you on your website a few weeks ago. No response. I play at a community college in California, were in our season now, but Id be interested in coming by after the season. When are your scheduling?

  • great stuff. thank you and keep adding videos like this

  • how does the slant-flat/swing read work when the defense is in cover 2

  • You could run everything from Shotgun, but it would stop being effective about 15 plays in. The base Shotgun formation actually has a back next to the quarterback, meaning the draw play and, if you have an athletic QB, the qb draw or run/pass option can be used to mix up with the pass plays.

  • Do you have a strong running game? Spread offense is powerful but the cliche is true, you really need to use either pass or run to set up the other; you can't rely on just one!

  • actually at our school we run a complete spread offense we are NEVER under center

  • You can't run everything from the shotgun. It gives away the play as a pass. A QB has to get under center to throw off the Defense.
