The University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees and President Robert Caret hosted a breakfast reception Sept. 10 to formally welcome Henry M. Thomas III into his new role as chairman of the UMass Board of Trustees and to recognize his exemplary service to the university and the greater Springfield community. The event attended by 150 community leaders was held at the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield.
