@cubdukat Actually, I should clarify that. Those companies have for the most part dumped TrueHD, but there is a Dolby Digital Plus fallback.
I tell you what, if I were DTS, I could live with that kinda failure...
Personally, I'm a format agnostic kinda guy. Just so long as I can rattle the paint off my wall and break windows, I could care less what format it's in.
I notice that Dude's questions seem to have been removed. Just sayin'...
@sexydanny21awesome Um...no? DTS-HD also provides a lesser version of itself just the same as TrueHD.
And if DTS is a failed format, how do you explain that it is now more prevalent than TrueHD? Universal, Warner Bros., Fox, MGM, and Lionsgate have dumped Dolby. That doesn't leave a whole lot. And yes, it IS more prevalent; there's research to back it up. If they would just loosen up their licensing requirements, Dolby could be back on top.

@Rebeccachu
like i said comparing to possibilities dts-hd master kills truehd.
7.1 channels with lossless in 24bit full 192khz in all channels
in truehd you can get only 96khz maximal if you use 7.1
also the bitrate is higher on dts.
