Quiet Waters Mountain Biking - June 2011

Mountain Biking out at Quiet Waters park in Deerfield Beach, FL. This was my first time out there, great trail, deffinately an aerobic workout with some fun technical sections. Every thing shot with the GoPro HD Hero 960 at 720p and edited with windows movie maker, be sure to watch in 720p for the best quality and see what the GoPro can do.

You rode out in June? That must be so hot... I mountain bike in Utah in the summers, I was planning on trying this out back home when it starts cooling down, as an off-season practice course. Is it promising? Or are there any better places around SE Florida? I've heard of one in the Miami area.

@thephoenix4ever Ya its was pretty hot, but bearable (stay hydrated). I'd love to ride out there! If your pretty close (15 mins or so) then its a good choice for some cardio but for some good riding you might want to check out Markham Park in sunrise by 595 and I-75. Allot more elevation changes (tiny compared to Utah lol) but some good riding. Arguably the best in SOFLA.There's also Amelia Earhart, Virginia Key (new) and Oleta. I haven't been to those yet but I'll be sure to make some vids.

Just kidding I live across the street deer run. We used to have a great park. Clay hill , had a bunch of jumps then they bulldozed it. It is getting a little better now and we are starting to ride there agin. I used to build a lot of stuff there , I had a builder donate a truckload of clay.

I've been riding this trail a lot on kenda nevegal 2.35 tires. What is a faster rolling tire that still works in the sand? Would a 1.95 small block 8 work?

@xcRaD28 No, I live in the Boca Raton area north, but it still seems easier to get to then Miami. I might have to save those parks for special winter days. :)

@MTBIKE911 Glad you liked them, The heat is a killer out there, I try to go toward the morning but doesn't make much of a difference haha. Oh yea, I think it's underrated, great alternative to markham, minus the no tree's part

Thanks for posting the vids of quiet waters. Rode out there today and rather enjoyed it, except for the heat... There was definitely more out there that I had expected.
