After much struggling, I finally got Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.6 running on VMware Workstation on Windows Vista 64-Bit. It is fully functional, except for a few minor problems.

I used a retail copy of Mac OS X Leopard to install, and I used this hack: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=118663

  • Have you gotten the audio to work from and to the virtual machine?

  • No, I have not had the time. It was enough trouble just to get the damn thing to boot without a kernel panic or something.

  • The audio doesn't work by default then. I was trying to find a solution for my home studio because I want to run all the mac and windows goods at the same time.

Whenever you have the time to get it to work, please do PM me or post a tutorial, I'll subscribe.

  • If you want audio, I think you would have better luck dual booting Windows and Hackintosh, rather than trying to get VMware audio to work. Performance will also be a lot better with a dual boot.

  • CAN YOU USE THE KEYBOARD W/ IT?????

  • You can use the keyboard, but it just types gibberish and eventually gives a kernel panic.
