As an addition to my last comment, I've just listened to Mussorgsky's A Night on Bald Mountain ( watch?v=Bh65GzLKRls ) and just realised it's the perfect soundtrack to the Christian bible. The first half is awesome in the true sense of the word. Fire, brimstone, God is a mean Mofo, not to be messed with. Then at 6:30 it gets all soft and wishy washy (New Testament). So, if you don't have the time to read the bible in its entirety, just listen to Night on Bald Mountain instead.
