  • He/she is beautiful. Are they hard to look after?I have heard about the whole "Alpha male" thing, but is it that bad??

  • @01mogwai

Zeus was very dominant and needed a proper home with someone that was comfortable with big dogs and had the patience to teach him.

  • Is that not a Malamute?

  • @01mogwai

That is an Alaskan Malamute yes

  • My German shepherd broke threw our glass door one day. Glass everywhere outside on the porch and my "big baby" bleeding .....she was ok just a minor cut, not much blood. Spent the rest of the day on my bed licking the wound. I remember waking up really cold and yelled to my sister who was already up with her friend if she left a window open and apparently she had been downstairs already -_- i still don't know if she really didn't notice it or just didn't want to deal with it. spoiled brat.

  • @ParanoidPixel

I had a husky and a german shepherd mix play fight one new years eve and they both crashed right through the sliding glass door. Thank heaven neither was hurt.

  • @01mogwai every night my mom lays on the couch and watches TV. my siberian husky always comes right over and just lays right on top of her. never in a mean way, its really funny. but i could see how it would be very annoying.

  • My Australian bulldog has been bashing my back sliding door for years now, To go out and to come in.

  • @ParanoidPixel About 8 years ago, I had a Boxer and he wandered into a scrap yard and cut his paw on some jagged metal.

    \8-(

Just recalling it now gives me the willies. It was because it was his paw. How do you tell a dog, "oh, you need to stay off yer feet for a few days."?! I remember trying to dab hydrogen peroxide on the wound. He didn't like that one bit.

  • Is your glass full of scratches? We had a Malamute called Ben who did the same thing. He didnt break the glass, mind you the whole door frame shook! But he did leave scratches.

He died a couple of years ago at age eleven, so those scratches serve as a reminder. We'll never forget him. Such a beautiful dog and very well natured.

  • "What is this sorcery!?"

  • @gasnet2

I bet they say the same thing about us lol
