BTW, can anyone give me the gist of what the words mean (both narration and background lyrics)? I think I can recognize the odd word (natural, informal?) but I have no Italian linguistic skill. (That is Italian right?) If I learn what this commercial means then, if I go to Italy and get abducted by an artichoke, I will be able to talk about what I went through.
I like Cynar but it rarely makes me want to play in traffic. Maybe I am not drinking enough of it. I certainly don't get abducted by artichoke UFOs when I drink it. Except for once (in a while).
When I wander into oncoming traffic while slugging at a bottle of Cynar, my results are usually remarkably different than depicted.

The narrator is basically talking about what Cyran is (it's artichoke liquer).
On the UFO it says "Carciofo" which means artichoke in Italian.
You never know when an artichoke UFO will abduct you in Italy. It's best to be prepared.

The headline literally says "against the strain of modern life."

And what is written on the side of the UFO/artichoke in white lettering?
Thanks, in advance, again.

And what is the headline on the newspaper at 0:13?
Thanks in advance.

come al solito...grandissimi!
e ancor più potenti grazie alla citazione dell'originale spot di Ernesto Calindri che recitava "contro il logorio della vita moderna"!
Elio e le Storie Tese...unici!!!
