@theUKatheist You believe what you want to believe. It's your kind of arrogance that gives atheists a bad name. I've met some awesome atheist people who are okay with my beliefs and that I was okay with theirs. You just prove that there are ignorant people living in this world ready to make other people feel like shit because of what they believe. It's why we, as human beings, don't grow up as a species because there are too many idiots.

@JoshorzNBenzorz why? if i believed a giant frogs is going to take over the earth and we should all live in the water, and tried getting government to change our laws for this, tried teaching it in our school etc , you would respect that??? no you would think its stupid and if rationalising didn't work you would ridicule.

just because you hold a belief it doesn't mean you are safe from ridicule. if the belief is stupid then you will get told that its stupid.

Agnosticism is not a belief on its own. It's a modifier. I am an agnostic atheist as opposed to a gnostic atheist, an agnostic theist, or a gnostic theist. so you see you cant just be agnostic as it doesn't make sense!

if i asked, do you like strawberries? to say "dont know" is silly.

if i asked do you believe in unicorns? to say "dont know " is also silly.

sorry but you MUST be one of the above if you claim agnosticism .

Religion was made because Humans fear death and we have to explain the unknown somehow. We all laugh because people say the earth used to be flat, religion is the same joke.

@AhTreyYou I'm not sure where you came up with this statement. but I'm sure for some people that is true. I doubt however a long time ago they thought " Hey, I'm afraid of death, let's make up some stories to have answers!" Some things like how the Earth was thought to be flat can be disproved. Religion, however, is NOT the same concept my good lad.

it's sad the way people get on here to justify their beliefs. You're ignorant if you don't like a christian for doing something non-christian and think all of them are hypocrites for that. Nobody is a perfect christian. If someone of a different religion does something that contradicts their own religion we don't deem their entire religion has false people. I am a person who clings to religion not because i fear death or want answers. I just know all the amazing things in life arent by "chance"

@tomasusan there was no attack, there was a joke, a definition and reasoning.

i was however educating the "agnostic" who are rude and arrogant who commented here ( which i have had many times ) simply because they think their view is better, simply because they dare not address the question does not make it a better view.

yes belief and knowledge are different. that is why agnosticism is not answering the belief question.
