Mad Monday Mayhem at Mettam's

A video collage of the first day of Winter in Perth Western Australia that fell on 1st June on the Foundation Day holiday. Shot in the Marmion Marine Park at Mettam's Pool with a crazy crew of longboarders and SUP's (stand up paddle boarders). The music is by Kevin MacLeod (website - http://www.incompetech.com ) and features some of his 'funkier' tracks: Vibe Ace, Protofunk and Militaire Electronic.

well im not impressed , theres far too many paddle boaties kookin it , get some real footage of mettams when its crankin . also whens the mettams masters on??????

Hi 1983H, thanks for the comment! I've never been there to see Mettam's crank! This vid is only a quirky look at winter in WA, its not really meant to show HQ surf footage. I didn't know there was a Mettam's Masters, do you have any info on it or a link? Please let me know! Regards G61.

well all i know is that years ago there was a mettams masters , i thought it would be a good idea if someone brought it to life again.

Hi 1983H thanks for that, I might see if some of my surf contacts would be interested in a revival and let you know about it. Some of them are Metts surfers from the 50's! They may seize up out in a contest though!

Hi M8899 let me know what colour your board is and I'll look out for you. I ride the 'Watermalon' or an 11 footer (Not SUP). The wind isn't looking too good for Saturday. And it tends to close out when its that big. Hillaries and Watermans might be better. I'm surfing in the Cott Longboard Club Round at Isolators on Sunday when it should be better as the wind goes south west and lightens off. Have a good one anyway!
