The Marine Science Internship

The Marine Science Internship (MSI) is a three-week program offered by the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, aimed at giving aspiring young oceanographers (aged 16+) hands-on experience of working in the scientific community. The course offers SCUBA certification up to PADI Rescue Diver in addition to AAUS Scientific Diver training, with a particular emphasis on underwater data collection and survey techniques. The Marine Science Interns also study essential statistical analysis procedures, laboratory protocols and have the opportunity to work closely with resident faculty and visiting experts.
