A briefcase is one of the few practicial items that allows the user to express his/her individuality in the workplace. The choice of briefcase says a lot about the user. The briefcase carries as much importance as the Rolex DateJust watch or Mont Blanc fountain pen.

With the advent of laptop computers and PDAs the briefcase has suffered a decline. The casual times we live in has led to the use of the "man bag" -- a unisex type of satchel.

The traditional hard-sided briefcase of the 70s/80s and 90s has taken a decline in recent years. The famous maker Louis Vuitton has decreased the number of hard-sided briefcases in their range in the past ten years. Thankfully Louis Vuitton has kept the flagship hard-sided President Classeur in its range. Louis Vuitton is a commercial company and has been at the forfront of the casual man bag and soft-sided briefcase ranges.

Great names in briefcases include Louis Vuitton, Goyard, Cartier, Alfred Dunhill, Gucci and Hermes. Louis Vuitton's range has remained truest to form -- with tradition models remaining in the range.

  • @Wateenku1zoo1 Hey, I also looked it up, I mean "Henk" and I found their website, where you can buy it for 20-25,000 USD.

  • O, you can look for "luxery trolly".

  • Great suitcase, I am looking for a brand called: "Henk" but I can not find anything about it on YouTube. I saw one at a store but it was €35.000,- I did not have that amount of money on me.

  • Swaine Adeney Brigg is another brand worth looking at.

  • Hermes is pronounced 'Air-mez'. Silent 'H' (But, does sound a little different when spoken in different dialects.)
