Can the z28 stay clean at gigging volume to get this kind of tone with a pedal then disengage for a clean tone?

I want this video on my e636 unit.

Great tone and phrasing as always Frankie!
Am I missing something? Nobody asked what pickups he currently has in that SE. The pups are such a huge contributor to the overall tone, in addition to the amp, power tubes, speaker, etc.. So, how 'bout it Frankie, what's your favorite for a humbuckn' SE? :-)

Those are the WCR Crossroads pickups.....I have tried a lot of different ones, so many great PU's out there now. Other faves are the Skatterbrane's and Guitarforce Lord Of The Blues....I just put those in my blonde SE, and they are magic ! ( Alnico 4)

Frankie, my friend, I see the glowing Blue light on the Z Wreck behind you but no Z-28. What's up with that? ;-)
What speaker are you driving?
Oh yea ... nize tone

The Z28 is on the floor with a mini extention cab, and I used the ZWreck to play the rhythm guitar loop.

great sound overall - but I can't help but wonder how the combination of the PRS and the bad monkey kills the high end, and the upper mid clarity of the Z. Obviously camera mics take some of the blame, but whether it's the zwreck, maz, Z28, etc - it sounds like a similar tone to me on this end - though I'm sure they all feel different.
(I'm a Z owner though - I know all of the aforementioned amps own!)

Thanks, but the recording is very accurate. The high end is dialed back some on the 0verdrive and amp settings. So it's just the sound I was going for....smooooooth. Thanks for listening. Starrman
