I caught Leslie singing like this (mature music) including some classics back in 1970 in Chicago. It was in a small club and the place was almost empty. My friend and I applauded from the bar area. She looked up from the small stage area looked at us and said "thank you". She continued her set.
I was extremely surprised that there was almost no advertising for her but she was going thru another phase of music at the time.

What an underrated talent she was then and still is!!! I just purchased her most recent CD "Ever Since"--can't wait to listen to it... I cherrish her LP "Someplace else now", which is a masterpiece!!! A fan from Germany.

Lesley, do more of this kind of music, please. You have a great jazzy voice.
I know with your mature voice, it would even be better now.
Looking forward to venue.

How sweet! Per Incident I got a VHS Video
"Legendary Ladies of Rock`n Roll" from 1990, where she performs with Brenda Lee, Martha Reeves, Ronnie Spector and others: A great documet of real entertainers.

in french amour vas voir ailleurs...si j'y suis (if i'm here) good title for a song i know a little lesley gore thanks to make know much more; friendly Robert
Lesley has always had a really great voice and it's a shame that she didn't get to show more of her versatility by recording more than just "teen music," although her teen music was great, too. I'm surprised that Quincy Jones didn't promote this jazzy side of her. Thanks for this EXCELLENT post on one of my fav gal singers!

OMG!!! This song is awesome!! I love this side of Lesley. I just wish she had of recorded lp's of this music... She had a flawless voice for Jazz. What a shame. I am a 44 year old guy, and have been a devoted Lesley Gore fan since I was 12. I've had the privilege to see in concert twice . Once in 1990, and 2003.
