@sptwood05 while it's true that pele was more complete, stats are completely circumstantial and can be very misleading if you interpret them the wrong way. compare man city's last year results with carlos tevez to this year's results without tevez.  does that mean tevez is a worse player than dzeko/nasri/aguero? absolutely not.

In 91 games: 45.6% win, 31.8% draw, 21.9% lost

WITHOUT Maradona:

In 94 games between 1977-1994: 44.6% win, 34% draw , 21% lost

@sptwood05 as much as i am pro pele in this discussion, i must point out that stats are very often misleading. people have used stats to say liverpool doesn't need steven gerrard, when obviously that is not the case. and the same here. argentina was obviously better with maradona despite what stats tell you.
