This was when Dave was at his wittiest and smarmiest. Truly funny. Not like now, where he looks like a crotchety old curmudgeon who acts as if he doesn't even want to be on his show anymore.

Loved Jeff and his show. He called people 'friend,' and that really made an impression on me. To this day, I find myself using the term in conversation. Although I grew up on Graham Kerr and the Galloping Gourmet in the 60s, Jeff really honed my interest in truly good cooking. His mashed potatoes were the absolute best and my guests always comment on how great mine are now. Jeff had a passion for good food, culture and education. I miss him and always will.
