For refering to yourself, i have also heard the terms Boku (僕) and Ore (俺) used rather often. can you clarify on this?

Ohhh, I see! People kept on telling me that は marked the topic, not the subject, but I never got the distinction. Nobody ever explained it like this to me before, but you definitely did. This video is a must-watch for learners of Japanese!
