RADAMES GNATTALI plays RADAMES GNATTALI Vaidosa (VERY RARE)

Radames Gnattali (1906-1988) was one of the most important brazilian composer. He criated a kind of music that seems to be Jazz, popular music, folcloric music. Maybe Gnattali was so important then Villa-Lobos and Camargo Guarnieri, Mignoni and others. He studied piano with Guilherme Fontainha but didn´t dedicated himself to a pianist career. I noticed that the canadian pianist HAMELIN use to play his works and apreciate his music. The most exquisit and sophisticated interpreter of him is the brazilian excellent pianist Fernanda Chaves Canaud. Because of his dedication to the ¨popular¨music too, he was discriminated and there are some people that asks if his works were Jazz or classical musics (the same hapenned with Gershwin)
