Edwards Hammers Clinton Over Ties to Lobbyists

At his YearlyKos breakout session, John Edwards hammered Hillary Clinton for her ties to lobbyists. Though he didn't name her in this clip, his reference to "a choice" was referring to the interchange at the debate where Clinton said she would continue to take Washington lobbyist money.

As for Hillary Clinton, well, the facts speak for themselves:

1. She voted for the Iraq War.

2. She believes Israel can do whatever it wants to the Palestinians without relent.

3. She favors a healthcare system that would give MORE power to the HMOs and insurance companies.

4. She'll say and do whatever she needs to to win. This is someone who can't be trusted.

What a hippocrite, John Edwards is! What about all the money he took from lobbyist in the past, and now from employees of firms who employ lobbyists. Not all lobbyist are bad, there are those who advocate for ordinary people in Washington. Trial lawyers like Edwards have skyrocketed malpractice insurance, so its out of control. That is one reason health insurance is so costly, and doctors are leaving the profession. I hope he doesn't sue the oncologist for not finding his wife's illness sooner.

Call me a hopeless idealist, but I respect someone (like Ralph Nader) who calls a spade a spade. The fact is that Israel has been in violation of over dozens of UN Resolutions over the years for occupying Palestinian land. The rest of the world knows and deplores it. Only the U.S. continues to condone it, and one of the reasons is that politicians like Hillary Clinton have no integrity or honor.
