@rathmiron thats why you should get a deaf ferret from an animal shelter if you let them free roam, its not uncommon, otherwise having a ferret proofed play room for them is good

@ashtonnicolevanhorn i've read it's smart to have bells on ferrets because they will crawl into everything, so you could 'lose' them fairly easily. so the bell is so you can hear them. but i can image that the jingling of a bell so close to sensitive ears is damaging
