By the way, 40 years ago the end of the world crowd was telling us that in addition to a coming ice age (caused by pollution of course) the population was going to increase to unmanageable numbers and the world would face mass starvation, food riots and a complete breakdown of civilization by the (are you ready for this?) 1980's!
