Similar thing happened in the Gears 3 beta. I had sniper on Old Town and was aiming for a guy from atop the slope near the sniper spawn down the hill, when a guy with the frags comes up and tags me with it. But during the animation, i took the shot for the guy down the hill, and when he leaned in during the tag, his head went right in front of the shot and he got capped by accident after tagging me. Pretty funny.
