From my point of view anyone that needs to go deeply metaphysical / philosophical to explain their belief is throwing up a smokescreen.
If it is difficult for a laymay to understand, then it is easy to baffle them with bullshit - If it is reasoned, and logical I want to hear it.

It's like, yes, people can make up bullshit and call it metaphysical, it doesn't change that it's made up bullshit and it doesn't make it any more believable when you insist that it is beyond the realms of science and thus beyond the realms of testability to determine its factuality - in fact, it makes it less believable.

THe idea that expereince prove anything is just plain out wrong.
People experience all sorts of things. Believing something CAN change how you act/behave/feel/etc. But it doesnt change the fact that you have only proved that it exists in your head.
