No, in fact it's a really bad idea . The layer of paint will never be smooth because you'd need to redo certain parts of the body . You'd get patches that are thicker than others, bubbles will start to form on the body and if you're not careful the paint could start dripping .

I have a question, is it a good idea to paint your car with spray paint ( the ones "gangstas" use for graffiti, happy color or such )? Btw car is Opel Kadett '75

i was wonder, if you get your car covered like that, would you have to let your car insurance know? or not because the original color is under the vinyl?
