Nice job! I heard Maura do this in concert with Leo Kottke some years back and fell in love with John Gorka's soulful songs. While you are finger-picking it, try playing the 6th interval on the 1st and 3rd strings. It lets the Dobro part come alive on the guitar. I play it in C, but it should work in most guitar keys (sort of Paul SImon style).
