I always wanted to make my own BBQ, and i love the early Holden cars, so I made one using the front end of a 1962 Holden EJ Special. The whole project only took me 10 days from start to finish including the pannel and paint. The BBQ runs on 5 gas burrners can be wheeled around by one person easily. I entered it into an Australian wide compition to find Australia's most unique BBQ and ended up winning. it took off appearing in plenty of magazines and TV shows. It was never built just for show, we use it all the time especially here in sunny WA.
That's sweet mate! Great job. Love the EJ's, used to have one! Wanted to do the same. Love the HR couch too :-) Well done.

Hi,
Thanks for the comment.Yeah the EJ's In my opinion have a better font end then the EH., where the EH has a better rear. The HR Couch i made worked out well as i didn't have to cut it for comfort. The HR i used for the people in the know was a HR X2 modal very rare. The car was a wreck so i kind of saved it. All the lights work and it has the original horn fitted, so does the CARBQ.
Cheers
