The word 'church' in the New Testament is translated from the Greek word 'ekklesia' which comes from two words 'ek' meaning 'out' and 'kaleo' meaning to 'call.' An ekklesia or 'calling out' was not just an assembly. We are the church...His Body...living stones.

1Pe 2:4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious,
1Pe 2:5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

The church is not about building but about people each of us living true-faced with one another...the good, the bad, the ugly. Hypocrisy was never to be part of the church but it defines much of it today. Let's get back to the model that Christ set up in Act 2.

  • This is excellent... very high quality and upfront. I don't go to church regularly and haven't for almost four years; although I believe in the gathering together of the saints, I am looking and praying for it.

  • @norrisonian I feel you norris...I had so much trouble finding a church that was real that we had to go and start gathering together. Sometimes I think it does a person more good to stay away from a lot of these mixture churches that put heavy loads on people and teach moralism instead of the life and love of Christ

  • What IF we actually read our bibles?

  • We are the church not the building. We dont go to church the church which is us assemble in a building. God should be our focus not religion or tradition. If we focus on him he will reveal truth to us.

  • I found this clip whislt planning a preach for church (which i did a few weeks ago).. I used it in church hope you dont mind :P

Bring on the revolution baby :D

  • I don't go to church because God has shewn me that they are (all) owned by the freemasons (Masons; Dagon worshipers; Mystics; The Craft; The Antichrist), just like all of their corporations are! The Masons aren't going to come out and clout you over the head with this reality. If you're offended by this, please ask God for confirmation.

I won't be debating any of it with anyone. :)

  • The church is the tabernacle of the circumcised heart, that is made by the Holy Spirit through the fiery furnace of afflictions; sanctification, when we remain pure and reconciled to God in Christ Jesus. Jesus sits in the tabernacle of our hearts when we prepare the path for Him; seek Him and read His Word. He said that He would appear in our temple once the sin was removed. Once we're born again, we go to work for God, not man by "going to church." God will provide us with a ministry.
