  • he does address the underlying problem or emotional trigger causing aggression and has done on many occassions, i've seen countless episodes where fear and dis-trust is the basis for the agression and he confronts the problem to rehabilitate the dog not just correcting the agression. See the episode with apollo the rotweiller and the agressive american buldog whos owner was a previous drug addict, the name of the dog escapes me now. i watched another one two days ago with an agreive pitbull too

  • Once you know what you need to do the only thing you need to do is to do it!!

  • caesar milan is a great success dog trainer, everybody know it.

  • @KillerNetDog, I have no patience for your stupidity. But I have more sympathy for dogs in case owners are taken in by your abusive bullshit approach to dog training. Like the other morons, he is using punishment to suppress behavior which makes the dog more dangerous. Since he never addresses the emotional trigger that results in the behavior. Again his failure to deal with the problem shows that his approach is flawed.

  • @AboutDogTraining3 If you really had no patience, you wouldn't even be responding.

He is providing a consequence to a behavior. The consequence of a behavior determines whether it will be repeated with more frequency in response to a stimulus or not in the future. That is the science.

CM applies a lot of P- in not allowing the consequence of aggressive behavior to be successful and self rewarding and so be further reinforced and then rewarding alternate behavior.

  • @KillerNetDog, listen asshole, , if you are going to defend Millan them at least get to know his work. I have no patience for know-it-all shits like you who really know nothing. First rule, know what you are defending. Stop wasting everyone's time.

And no you idiot he is not using P-/P+, he is simply intimidating the dog, several times I love the idiot says "quiet" and the dog goes nuts. Which is odd because he claims he can predict it. He looked surprised to me.

  • Are you even capable of any response that isn't nasty and insulting and vile?

CM is big on P- and P+, which is what he is applying here. positive trainers would take an R+ or R-. There is science behind both approaches, though there is much more risk in the P- approach. But CM also uses R+ and R- as well, he just doesn't shy away from P+ and P-.

  • @KillerNetDog Its amazing how retards like you waste everyone's time defending this shit and you haven't even familiarized yourself with Millan's work. Hopefully, you don't have any dogs that you can beat a la Millan.

  • @AboutDogTraining3 Not worth my time for an insulting vile troll... One who won't even cite the 2 books he says Cesar bases his methods on, or any science to back up his own claims. I certainly hope you don't interact with animals with as much anger and aggression as you do with people trying to have a conversation..

  • @KillerNetDog You bloody moron. I told you how. Just a proper citation that will allow me to find it. You've provided some vague reference. So once again troll; any peer reviewed papers you can point to?
