People who are disgusted by Durian simply don't know how to consume it. Whether you're a foreigner or a native Asian person, one is supposed to either nibble or imbibe a little at a time--NOT chock your mouth full of durian and then complain about the taste or smell---because no matter who you are... when you do that your sensory nodes are overwhelmed and confused and therefore you sense/feel/taste the supposedly disgusting aspect of the durian. Next time why don't you try to ease your way in.

it has a strong smell, but i dont have a problem with it, it tastes the bomb, and the smoothies are delectable, and it is definitely no disgusting, some ppl can't enjoy it because they can't get over the smell. but i love the taste its slightly creamy and just sweet enough (durian itself)

I would be careful about comparing yourself to a Durian shake - it tastes quite disgusting.
