Minute Reich: Kronos Quartet on Steve Reich

"Minute Reich" is a series of brief videos honoring the celebrated American composer Steve Reich, who turns 75 in 2011. Each video features artists and close friends of the composer. This video features David Harrington of the Kronos Quartet discussing challenges to performing rhythmically repetitive works and creating expressivity with this style of music.

The Kronos Quartet performed the world premiere of Reich's WTC 9/11 in March 2011, and performs it again at Carnegie Hall in April 2011 and the Barbican Centre in May 2011, among other destinations.
