not trying to be a jerk, but the funky meters is the new lineup formed in the 90s with Brian Stoltz on guitar and Russell Baptiste, Jr. on drums. The original Meters were Leo Nocentelli-guitar, Art Neville-organ, Zigaboo Modeliste-drums, and George Porter, Jr.-bass. Funky Meters, Original Meters, they are all great musicians and definitely bring the funk. Peace.

The New Mastersounds rock!!! I saw them at All Good front and center haha faced!!!! ahhh, so amazing i love funk. The Funky Meters are amazing too!!! Check out Mingo Fishtrap for some sweet funk as well ;D

*cleverflavor and anyone who really digs these guys: You really should listen to 'The Funky Meters' from back in New Orleans in the 60's and 70's, The N. Mastersounds are great, and I love where there inspiration comes through! They were my FAVORITE band at the Trinumeral festival where my band SIlver Machine played
